HIGHLIGHTS OF THE WEEK • The Malaysian palm oil exports for 1-15 July 2010, up 16.4 percent to 708,384 tonnes from the quantity of 608.324 Metric tonne for the same period June 10. It included 93.121 tonnes of RBD palm oil 318,064 tonnes of RBD Palm Olein 63,287 tonnes Palm Stearin and Crude Palm Oil 105,555 tonnes Pakistan was the biggest buyer taking 140,696 tonnes. Followed by China taking 116,636 tonnes USA and India bought 106,929 and 39,560 tonnes, European Countries bought 82,611 metric tonnes. • The procedure and schedule for election of the PVMA Executive Committee for 2010-2012 has been circulated vide PVMA letter no PVMA/1304/2010 dated July 16, 2010.
